This Sunday at Stonebrook we are meeting to celebrate a living Savior who has conquered sin and death. We will begin our worship service by singing a new song together called “Christ is Risen,” written by Mia Fields and Matt Maher. This song proclaims, “Christ is risen from the dead, trampling over death by death.” By dying, and rising from the grave, Jesus has made Himself the perfect sacrifice for us. He is the Spotless Lamb, the propitiation for our sins that lets us be reconciled to God through the forgiveness of our sins, if only we believe in Him.

Indescribable – (Laura Story)
July 14, 2011
Indescribable by Laura Story (made popular by Chris Tomlin) draws your attention to God’s… bigness. He Himself is Indescribable, yet we get glimpses through His creation and his works. Majestic music (that might suffer a lack of translation from arenas to a smaller church setting), works with the lyrics to draw our attention to and encourages us to be in awe of God’s character.
Come People of the Risen King – (Keith and Kristyn Getty, Stuart Townend)
June 21, 2011
Come People of the Risen King is one of my favorite calls to worship. The joyful, upbeat song calls the entire church, in whatever stage of life, whatever emotional state, or whatever they are going through in life, to remember the Gospel and so to rejoice in Christ.

In Christ Alone – (Keith Getty, Stuart Townend)
May 21, 2011
In Christ Alone is one of those rare songs that you know will have staying power for the long haul. It has the feel of one of the “old hymns”, with rich music and thick, accessible theology. A sermon in this self, this song has layers of thought that give you something new to chew on each time.
